About the Event
8 hours, $180
Prenatal Massage will give the massage therapist the tools to begin working with ‘normal pregnancies’. The participant will be able to describe anatomical and physiological changes that happen during a normal pregnancy. Contraindications of prenatal massage will be discussed and myths will be addressed. Students will learn and be able to perform massage techniques that are appropriate for a pregnant woman. By the conclusion of the workshop the student will be able to perform a massage that is a safe and enjoyable massage for mommy and her baby.
*please bring a massage table, pillows you plan to use, and lotion (no oil please)
*we will take a 1 hour lunch - several places to eat within walking distance
